Geoff Funk is
a Florida transplant hailing from Panama City on Florida's
gulf coast. Geoff's interest in tattoos began early
on as a result of National Geographic Magazine. Although
he first pondered those pages at the tender age of
10, Geoff's professional career didn't begin until
1994 at the age of 21. After working in the same shop
in Florida for 5 years, he moved cross-country to
take root in Escondido, in order to work in "the
swingin'est shop in SoCal!"
When speaking in terms of style, Geoff really creates a catagory of his own. He has no "set in stone" style of tattooing. The client and artist, together, create a work of art that is unique and stands alone as an expression of that particular person's personality. His goal is to make sure that people go home happy with the service, and quality of the work they've recieved!
Geoff's philosophy on tattooing is that it's a unifying experience. He feels that the art of tattoo is such a personal process that it stands alone as a special experience for many people. This is a phenomenon that unites the individual with the whole of humanity and trandsends the differences of race, class and background.
